About Us

Built in 1863, Rockhill is a large comfortable Victorian house where the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. We have a mix of double, twin, family and single rooms, all either en-suite or with private bathroom. Two of our family rooms are on the ground floor to help those guests with mobility problems. Each room is equipped with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities . We offer a wide choice of breakfast options to suit all tastes and for guests who require dinner, there is an excellent choice of restaurants and hotels on the High St., which is only 5 minutes walk from the house.

Rockhill is situated in a quiet residential avenue which provides ample street parking at the front but we also have a private area for cars behind the house . Our well-established business looks out over the local tennis courts and bowling green and has views of the beautiful Moffat valley and surrounding countryside from all the rooms. Lovely floral displays in Spring and particularly Summer are a well known feature of the house. We currently hold the cup for the Best Commercial Garden in Moffat 2009.

As a large guest house, we can cater for groups as well as individual travellers. All guests are assured personal, efficient attention and a very warm welcome during their stay with us.
